1. Controls
The sensor touch control panel is slightly curved down so you can easily access the keys and use the controls in safe conditions.
In this way, you can use large pots or pans and you will perfectly see the controls. The control panel lets you choose the function, the temperature and allows you to view the power consumption (the Elec/Volt indicator).
KitchenPro HK3101 has five cooking functions separately marked on the control panel: hot pot, fry, barbeque, milk and water. So you can easily set the wanted cooking recipe. Regarding the temperature, you can choose from ten levels and this big range helps you cook more precisely and have better results.
Temperature settings go from 176°F to 536°F (80-280C).
The timer helps you program the unit and it can be set from 1 minute to 180 minutes (three hours). The adjust the time you can use the + and – control keys.
2. Surface
The surface is made of polished glass.
It is very resistant to scratches and breaks. It is all black, less the white circle that marks the heating burner.
It is all black, very sleek and quite simple (with no remarkable details). Like others induction cooktop surfaces, this one is also very easy to clean with a wet cloth.
There is no need to rub it because no spills will burn and get stiffed on it.
Anyway you should protect it as much as you can: don’t use hard detergents, don’t rub it with a knife or any other object, don’t put on it any other hard and strange object (while it is not functioning).
3. Heating Elements
KitchenPro HK3101 has one heating element with a coil that will allow you to use pans and pots that have 4 to 10 inches in diameter.
Don’t try to use smaller pans because it won’t work and the burner will not get heated.

It has low power consumption and it uses 1300W. Like any other small kitchen appliances, you can connect it to a standard USA outlet with 120V and 60 Hz AC.
5. Sensors
This unit is equipped with some smart sensors. First, there is a position sensor that will detect if you placed right the pan on the marked circle of the surface.
In case, you didn’t, the hob will not start heating. Second, there is a cookware sensor and the unit will shut down if it doesn’t detect a compatible induction pan.
6. Ventilation
The unit is provided with a fan. You should always be very careful to ensure proper ventilation. Never occlude the vents.
For safety purpose, it is recommended to put the unit in an airy place in the kitchen (far from steamers or other heating sources).
From time to the time you can verify the fan to be sure it hasn’t collected too much dust or dirt that could prevent it to work properly.
7. Safety Features
Induction cooking is itself safer to use in comparison to conventional cooking.
But, furthermore, this unit has some safety features that makes it perfect to avoid any accidents in your kitchen.
It has a pan-recognition safety sensor. The hob begins to heat only when an induction pan or pot is on it. Later, when you take the pan away from the hob, it will automatically stop heating. When no pan is detected, the unit will automatically shutdown.
The timer is also a safety feature, because it avoids overcooking and burning. In case of overheat, the unit will automatically shut down.
When there is low or high voltage, you will hear a warning sound and an error code will appear on the display. This will help you detect what is the problem with your induction cooktop.
8. Accessories
KitchenPro HK3101 has no pan or pot include. If you don’t have any pan or pot that is ready for induction, then you should buy it, or else you wouldn’t be able to use the unit.
Remember that you should choose very well which cookware is compatible with induction cooking. Go for steel, cast iron, aluminum, enameled iron and steel or stainless steel.
All of them should have a perfectly flat and magnetic bottom. Make the “magnetic test” for being sure of your choice.
