The soup with the gizzards and meat of raising backyard chickens, traditional vegetables (carrots, parsley root, parsnip, celery) and rice, garnished with egg yolk and sour cream can make the cool winter days much more enjoyable.

Ingredients
  • 500 g chicken pieces (ribs, wings and neck)
  • 400 g gizzard
  • 3 carrots
  • ½ celery
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 parsley root
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 quarts water
  • 20 black pepper grains
  • 2 tablespoons of rice
  • 1 liter sauerkraut juice
  • 2 yolks
  • 200 g of sour cream
  • lovage leaves (I have used dry leaves)
