Ingredients
  • 500 g chicken pieces (ribs, wings and neck)
  • 400 g gizzard
  • 3 carrots
  • ½ celery
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 parsley root
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 quarts water
  • 20 black pepper grains
  • 2 tablespoons of rice
  • 1 liter sauerkraut juice
  • 2 yolks
  • 200 g of sour cream
  • lovage leaves (I have used dry leaves)
 

Used kitchen utensils:

– a knife for peeling vegetables;
– a stainless steel grater;
– a slotted spoon;
– a stainless steel pot of 4-5 quarts;
– 1 stainless steel spoon ;
– 1 stainless steel ladle;
– 1 kettle.

Step 1: Preparing the ingredients for the soup

Wash the poultry meat thoroughly, and then let it be drained or wipe it with paper towels.

Vegetables are peeled, washed and grated using the large holes of the grater.

Leave the gizzards in boiling water for 1-2 minutes and then, allow them to drain off the water.

In a large pot, put 4 liters of water and add the salt.

Then, add meat and gizzards and let them boil. And remove the scum as many times as needed.

Mix and pour into the pot with the soup, stirring until everything is homogenized.

Serve the soup hot, along with chili peppers and a homemade bread roll.
Before serving the soup, drink a glass of țuica for a bigger appetite.

Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side

Then, you need to add chicken, paprika, tomato sauce, basil, salt and pepper and whatever you may like. Cover and simmer at least 30 minutes or put in small crockpot for a few hours and you will get your chicken soup perfect for autumn and winter days.
